Position Overview

An internationally focused fintech institution is recruiting an experienced Chief Legal Officer to oversee legal operations supporting cross-border financial services, digital payments, financial technology innovation, strategic commercial expansion, and enterprise governance across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful executive will provide strategic legal leadership that enables sustainable business growth while maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contractual excellence, and legal risk management. Working closely with executive leadership, technology teams, compliance specialists, and external regulatory stakeholders, the Chief Legal Officer will ensure that innovation is supported by a resilient legal framework capable of adapting to rapidly evolving financial markets.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise legal and regulatory strategy across all business operations.

• Advise executive leadership regarding financial technology regulations and emerging legal developments.

• Direct negotiation of enterprise technology, cloud infrastructure, fintech partnership, and digital services agreements.

• Oversee legal governance supporting payment services, digital banking platforms, customer onboarding, and financial products.

• Establish enterprise legal policies addressing data protection, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital innovation.

• Coordinate regulatory engagement across regional and international jurisdictions.

• Lead legal due diligence for strategic investments, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives.

• Strengthen enterprise legal operations through process modernization and technology adoption.

• Supervise external counsel while optimizing legal service delivery.

• Present legal updates and governance recommendations to executive committees.

Candidate Requirements

• LL.B. degree with active legal qualification.

• Outstanding executive communication and commercial judgment.
