Role Overview
This role is issued as an Executive Terms of Reference (ToR), establishing accountability for financial intelligence systems, algorithmic risk governance, and decision architecture.
The position ensures fintech platforms operate reliably, transparently, and ethically, integrating AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics into risk management and operational decision-making.
Mandate Scope

Design and govern financial intelligence pipelines for transaction monitoring, credit evaluation, fraud detection, and portfolio risk.

Establish governance frameworks ensuring explainability, auditability, and compliance.

Integrate macroeconomic, transactional, and behavioral datasets into adaptive algorithmic decision engines.

Develop protocols for bias detection, model validation, and system performance monitoring.

Advise executives on AI-driven risk systems while maintaining ethical and regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities

Lead design of end-to-end financial intelligence systems ensuring resilience and traceability.

Define lifecycle governance for algorithmic decision models.

Translate complex analytics into executive and regulatory reporting.

Produce white papers and strategic briefs on AI trends, predictive analytics, and systemic risk.

Mentor and coordinate cross-functional teams spanning analytics, compliance, and system architecture.
Qualifications

12+ years in financial risk, AI-driven analytics, or fintech intelligence systems.

Strategic understanding of algorithmic decision-making in finance.

Exceptional executive communication for boards, regulators, and global stakeholders.

Strong ethical grounding with experience in governance or regulatory oversight.
