Strategic Mandate
The Executive Open Finance & Digital Banking Architecture Strategist is responsible for designing the structural, technical, and governance foundations that enable open finance ecosystems to operate securely and at scale. The role focuses on ecosystem architecture rather than product execution, defining how data, payment initiation, identity, and financial services interact across institutional and non-institutional participants.
This mandate addresses interoperability, consent frameworks, API governance, and long-term systemic resilience, ensuring open finance infrastructures evolve in alignment with global best practices while remaining adaptable to regional market dynamics.
Primary Responsibilities

Architect open finance frameworks encompassing data access, payment initiation, and service orchestration

Define governance models for API standardisation, consent management, and third-party participation

Evaluate emerging open finance technologies, including API orchestration layers and federated data models

Assess ecosystem-level risks including data concentration, operational dependency, and systemic fragility

Produce executive-level architecture papers, ecosystem blueprints, and strategic roadmaps

Advise financial authorities, platform operators, and international stakeholders on open finance evolution

Shape long-term narratives on digital banking modernisation and financial ecosystem design
Required Expertise

Deep experience in open banking, open finance architecture, or digital banking platforms

Strong understanding of API governance, data-sharing frameworks, and ecosystem interoperability

Ability to translate complex technical architectures into executive-level strategic insight

Proven independence in senior advisory or principal consulting roles
