Strategic Mandate

The Executive Global Digital Payments Architecture & Cross-Border Systems Strategist is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, architecting, and future-proofing the structural foundations of large-scale digital payments ecosystems across multiple jurisdictions. This role is systemic, strategic, and globally oriented, operating at the intersection of cross-border settlement, transaction infrastructure, and regulatory alignment, with a strong emphasis on resilience, scalability, and innovation adoption.

The mandate transcends operational management: it is focused on end-to-end ecosystem coherence, ensuring that high-volume, multi-currency, and multi-platform payment systems operate efficiently while adhering to international standards such as ISO 20022, SWIFT protocols, and emerging real-time payment frameworks.

Core Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive frameworks for cross-border payment flows, including settlement, clearing, liquidity optimization, and transaction orchestration

• Define interoperability and integration models between real-time payments, mobile wallets, banking rails, and fintech platforms

• Evaluate emerging payment technologies, including blockchain, distributed ledger technology (DLT), and AI-enabled fraud prevention for strategic integration

• Assess systemic risks, operational bottlenecks, and scalability constraints within high-volume transaction environments

• Produce executive-grade architecture briefs, strategic white papers, and long-term ecosystem roadmaps

• Advise international stakeholders on platform evolution, governance structures, and future-proofing initiatives

• Collaborate with central banks, regulatory bodies, and international financial institutions to ensure global compliance and innovation alignment

Required Expertise

• Extensive experience in cross-border payments, financial infrastructure, or large-scale fintech systems architecture

• Mastery of transaction lifecycle mechanics, payment rails, and interoperability frameworks

• Proven ability to operate at a principal or executive advisory level, providing thought leadership and system design guidance

• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and communication skills suitable for global executive audiences

• 15+ years of experience in payments systems, fintech infrastructure, or banking technology architecture

• Exposure to international multi-market digital finance ecosystems
