Strategic Mandate
The Digital Payments Policy & Infrastructure Design Authority is responsible for defining the structural, architectural, and policy-level foundations of advanced digital payment ecosystems. This role operates above implementation and below regulation, focusing on how payment infrastructures are logically designed, governed, and future-proofed in a rapidly evolving global environment.
The mandate is to shape payments as systemic infrastructure, not products—ensuring coherence between transaction design, platform interoperability, and long-term resilience.
Core Responsibilities

Design conceptual frameworks for national and cross-border digital payment infrastructures

Define principles governing transaction finality, routing logic, and settlement integrity

Evaluate interoperability models between real-time payments, wallet ecosystems, and legacy rails

Produce executive-grade policy and infrastructure design papers

Advise on long-term structural risks and scalability constraints within payments ecosystems

Translate complex infrastructure concepts into decision-ready strategic guidance
Required Expertise

Deep experience in digital payments architecture, settlement systems, or financial infrastructure design

Strong understanding of payment lifecycle mechanics and network-based transaction models

Ability to operate at policy, architecture, and systems-design levels simultaneously

Exceptional analytical writing and executive communication skills
Ideal Professional Profile

15+ years in payments systems, fintech infrastructure, or financial network design

International exposure to large-scale or multi-market payments environments

Proven independence in senior remote advisory roles
