Role Overview

The Remote Executive Head of Multi-Rail Payments Infrastructure & Digital Clearing Strategy will oversee the design, modernization, and governance of Qatar’s next-generation payment clearing ecosystem. The role involves engineering multi-rail settlement frameworks, instant payments infrastructure, high-resilience transaction systems, and enterprise-grade interoperability across banking networks, merchant ecosystems, and emerging fintech layers.

This position requires deep expertise in real-time payments, clearing system transformation, distributed microservice architectures, and regulatory-grade financial assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic modernization of Qatar’s digital payments ecosystem, including instant clearing, tokenized settlement flows, and ISO 20022-native routing structures.

• Architect multi-rail payment infrastructures supporting cards, A2A transfers, digital wallets, cross-border remittances, and real-time QR payments.

• Develop enterprise transaction orchestration engines using distributed systems, event-driven architecture, containerized clusters, and high-availability network layers.

• Implement advanced resilience frameworks for uptime assurance, failover automation, and cyber-resilient payment continuity.

• Oversee compliance alignment with Qatar’s regulatory expectations for payments, data governance, AML intelligence, and consumer protection.

• Manage multi-stakeholder collaboration with risk, technology, security, product, and regulatory divisions to ensure harmonized payments governance.

• Deliver transformation roadmaps enhancing settlement velocity, operational transparency, system-level efficiency, and financial ecosystem expansion.

Required Expertise

• 10+ years in digital payments infrastructure, clearing system engineering, or enterprise payments architecture.

• Expert proficiency in real-time settlement, event streaming, secure API ecosystems, cloud-native engineering, and payments routing logic.

• Strong understanding of GCC payments regulatory frameworks and operational resilience standards.

Preferred Competencies

• Experience leading national or regional payment modernization programs.

• Deep background in cross-border payment interoperability.
