Role Overview
This role is intended for a senior fintech executive charged with defining the architectural sovereignty and long-term structural integrity of digital financial platforms operating at national and regional scale. The Executive Head of Digital Financial Architecture & Platform Sovereignty will operate at the highest strategic layer, shaping how complex fintech systems are designed, governed, and evolved in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s market objectives and broader GCC integration.
The successful candidate will guide the creation of future-proof financial architectures that balance scalability, resilience, and regulatory alignment while enabling continuous innovation across payments, digital services, and financial data platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Define enterprise-level digital financial architecture principles covering payments, transaction platforms, and financial services enablement layers.

Establish platform sovereignty frameworks ensuring architectural independence, resilience, and long-term control.

Lead multi-year roadmaps for financial platform evolution, interoperability, and regional integration.

Align architectural strategy with regulatory expectations, operational risk frameworks, and data governance standards.

Produce executive-level architecture doctrine, reference models, and strategic briefing materials.

Monitor global fintech infrastructure trends to inform future-state design and architectural positioning.
Required Qualifications & Experience

12+ years of experience in fintech architecture, financial infrastructure strategy, or large-scale platform leadership.

Deep expertise in transaction ecosystems, digital financial platforms, and system governance.

Strong familiarity with GCC financial systems and regulatory-driven environments.

Proven ability to operate at executive, architectural, and strategic governance levels.
