Role Summary

The Executive Director will lead the strategy, design, and governance of national-scale digital payment ecosystems for Saudi Arabia’s evolving fintech sector. The role requires expertise in real-time payment rails, cross-border settlements, API orchestration, operational resilience, fraud intelligence, and regulatory alignment. The Executive Director ensures scalable, secure, and fully compliant financial infrastructure capable of supporting KSA’s growing digital economy.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect high-throughput, low-latency payment engines across multi-rail systems (cards, A2A, tokenized transactions).

• Build cross-border settlement frameworks with ISO 20022 compliance, automated reconciliation, and real-time visibility.

• Implement AI-driven fraud detection and risk analytics across payment flows.

• Define API governance and integration strategies for fintechs, banks, and third-party service providers.

• Lead modernization of cloud-native microservices, event-driven architectures, and operational resilience models.

• Collaborate with regulators and financial institutions to ensure compliance with domestic and regional standards.

Requirements

• 12+ years in payment systems, financial infrastructure, or digital banking leadership.

• Expertise in ISO 20022, open banking frameworks, real-time settlement engines, and cloud-native architectures.

• Proven ability to lead national or regional-scale financial platform implementations.
