To lead this strategic evolution, the organization is seeking an Executive Director – Open Banking Infrastructure & API-Driven Financial Connectivity.
This role is responsible for building the connective tissue of modern finance—ensuring that financial institutions, fintech innovators, and digital platforms can interact through secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs.
Core Responsibilities
Open Banking Architecture
- Design and implement open banking infrastructure frameworks.
- Build secure API layers for financial data sharing and transaction initiation.
- Enable interoperability between banks, fintechs, and third-party providers.
- Establish standards for API performance, scalability, and security.
Platform Development & Integration
- Oversee development of API gateways and developer platforms.
- Enable seamless onboarding of third-party financial service providers.
- Support integration of multiple banking systems into unified platforms.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of connectivity infrastructure.
Data Security & Privacy
- Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with financial data protection regulations.
- Maintain secure data exchange protocols across systems.
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to data sharing.
Governance & Ecosystem Growth
- Define governance models for open banking ecosystems.
- Support expansion of financial partnerships and integrations.
- Drive adoption of open banking standards across the market.
- Align infrastructure capabilities with regulatory frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in fintech, banking, or API platforms.
- Strong expertise in open banking systems and API architecture.
- Experience leading large-scale integration ecosystems.
- Proven leadership in fintech transformation initiatives.
