Executive Director of Global Fintech Core Systems & Transaction Architecture – Dubai, UAE

Strategic Mandate

This role is designed for a senior fintech systems architect responsible for defining, governing, and evolving enterprise-level transaction platforms. The mandate spans core ledger systems, reconciliation engines, settlement frameworks, cross-border payments, and interoperability layers, ensuring that Dubai-based fintech ecosystems maintain resilience, scalability, and regulatory alignment at a global standard.

The Executive Director acts as the strategic custodian of platform integrity, embedding risk, security, and compliance directly into system design while driving modernization initiatives and long-term architectural evolution.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end financial platforms, including ledgers, settlement engines, transaction orchestration, and data pipelines

• Transition legacy systems to real-time, event-driven architectures, ensuring low-latency, high-volume processing across multiple geographies

• Define governance and architectural standards to maintain financial integrity, auditability, and regulatory compliance

• Integrate emerging technologies, including distributed ledger, smart contracts, and AI-driven monitoring, into core systems

• Establish resilience, security, and observability frameworks, enabling operational transparency and rapid anomaly detection

• Advise senior leadership on strategic platform decisions, modernization roadmaps, and risk-resilient design

Required Expertise

• 15+ years in core banking, fintech infrastructure, or enterprise transaction systems

• Deep mastery of ledger systems, reconciliation logic, distributed architectures, and settlement mechanisms

• Advanced knowledge of cloud-native systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, and containerization

• Proven ability to design financially correct, high-availability, scalable systems

Candidate Profile

• Executive-level architectural leadership experience with multi-disciplinary, remote teams

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and documentation skills

• Strategic thinker capable of long-term platform governance and modernization planning

Engagement & Compensation

• Fully remote, Dubai-aligned role

• Monthly compensation: AED 100,000 – 145,000

• Long-term strategic mandate with authority over core systems and platform evolution
