Monthly Fixed Compensation: OMR 22,000 – 30,000
Annual Variable Compensation: 30% – 45% of base salary

Role Purpose
This Executive Director appointment exists to provide strategic and architectural leadership over the design, evolution, and modernisation of advanced fintech platforms operating at national and cross-border scale. The role is explicitly designed for a senior fintech architect and strategist who can govern complex digital finance ecosystems while operating fully remotely.
The position sits at the intersection of technology architecture, regulatory alignment, and long-term financial system resilience, requiring both technical authority and executive-level judgement.
Strategic Scope & Responsibilities

Define enterprise-wide architecture strategies for digital finance platforms, including payments infrastructure, transaction orchestration layers, and system interoperability frameworks.

Lead the modernisation of legacy financial systems into cloud-native, API-driven, and modular fintech environments.

Establish architectural governance standards covering scalability, resiliency, cybersecurity, and operational continuity.

Translate regulatory expectations into enforceable technical controls and system design principles.

Oversee platform-level risk, dependency mapping, and system stress-testing programmes.

Coordinate distributed teams of senior engineers, architects, and platform specialists in a fully remote operating model.

Produce executive-level architecture roadmaps aligned with long-term national digital finance objectives.

Advise on capital allocation priorities related to fintech infrastructure investment.
Candidate Profile

Postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Financial Technology, Systems Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

15+ years of experience in fintech architecture, digital banking platforms, or large-scale financial systems.

Demonstrated authority over mission-critical, regulated financial infrastructure.

Deep understanding of cloud platforms, distributed systems, and transaction-intensive architectures.

Proven experience operating at executive or board-advisory level.
