Role Mandate

This role represents a top-tier executive appointment for a senior fintech leader tasked with architecting and governing next-generation digital payment ecosystems within a mature, internationally connected GCC fintech environment. The Executive Director will assume full strategic authority over payment orchestration layers, embedded finance frameworks, and cross-border transaction architecture, with responsibility for designing infrastructures capable of supporting millions of concurrent financial interactions across consumer, enterprise, and platform-driven ecosystems.

The position is not operationally transactional; it is architectural, regulatory-aware, and market-defining. The mandate is to shape the future of digital payments at national and regional scale, integrating real-time settlement, programmable money flows, API monetization strategies, and institutional-grade risk controls.

Core Strategic Responsibilities

• Define and lead the long-term digital payments architecture roadmap, spanning real-time payments, wallet ecosystems, merchant acquiring frameworks, and embedded financial services

• Design API-first, modular payment infrastructures capable of seamless integration with super-apps, marketplaces, fintech platforms, and enterprise systems

• Oversee cross-border payment corridors, FX routing logic, liquidity optimization, and transaction cost engineering

• Establish governance models for payment security, fraud intelligence, data privacy, and transaction resiliency

• Collaborate with regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance-by-design without compromising innovation velocity

• Lead high-level architectural decisions related to tokenized payments, programmable settlement logic, and next-generation clearing models

• Mentor senior architects and fintech strategists, creating a culture of precision engineering and institutional-grade fintech execution

Required Executive Profile

• 15+ years of progressive experience across digital payments, fintech platforms, or financial infrastructure architecture

• Demonstrated leadership in large-scale payment systems, high-availability transaction platforms, or embedded finance ecosystems

• Deep technical fluency across payment rails, API gateways, ISO-based messaging, cloud-native financial systems, and real-time processing

• Strong regulatory literacy within GCC and international financial ecosystems

• Proven ability to translate complex financial technology into scalable, commercially viable platforms

Salary Structure (UAE – Executive Grade)

• Base Salary: AED 75,000 – 95,000 per month

• Annual Performance Incentive: 25% – 40% of annual base

• Long-Term Incentive Component: Deferred performance units tied to platform adoption and transaction volume growth
