Role Overview
A distinguished international opportunity for a senior fintech executive to lead and architect the transformation of digital financial infrastructure across the United Arab Emirates. The Executive Director of Digital Financial Infrastructure will play a strategic role in designing scalable, secure, and interoperable financial systems that underpin the UAE’s transition toward a fully digital economy. Operating remotely, this leadership mandate involves cross-border collaboration, high-level policy interpretation, and strategic technology execution.
Position Purpose
To create and orchestrate the strategic frameworks that define the UAE’s next-generation financial infrastructure — integrating open finance principles, cloud-native architecture, and distributed ledger technologies. This position requires the intellectual versatility to unite regulatory sophistication, financial innovation, and technical precision under a cohesive digital transformation vision.
Core Responsibilities

Lead multi-year digital transformation initiatives encompassing payments, digital identity, and open banking infrastructure.

Define and execute digital finance roadmaps aligned with emerging GCC and international fintech regulatory standards.

Architect interoperability frameworks across financial institutions, payment networks, and regtech providers.

Direct multi-regional, remote teams responsible for fintech architecture, data governance, and compliance analytics.

Oversee cybersecurity frameworks and digital trust systems built on zero-trust and end-to-end encryption principles.

Guide strategic partnerships with cloud service providers, global fintech innovators, and data exchange ecosystems.
Qualifications & Expertise

12+ years in digital banking transformation, fintech infrastructure, or technology-led financial modernization.

Expert knowledge of open banking, API ecosystems, and regulatory data standards (ISO 20022, PSD2).

Strong command of blockchain interoperability, AI integration, and enterprise cloud security.

Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Digital Finance, or Financial Technology Management.

Proven global leadership in digital architecture strategy, preferably across multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
