Position Summary
This board-level executive role exists to architect the strategic vision for national and cross-border fintech platforms, establishing principles for ecosystem scalability, interoperability, and sustainable financial innovation. The Executive Director will oversee digital banking infrastructure, payment systems, embedded finance, and data-driven financial services, with a focus on long-term platform viability and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
The role is fully remote but strategically anchored in Saudi Arabia as a fintech hub for the GCC and global markets.
Core Responsibilities

Define a multi-year strategic roadmap for digital finance platforms, integrating payments, wallets, API banking, and financial intelligence capabilities.

Design governance and interoperability frameworks ensuring scalable, resilient, and compliant operations across multiple markets.

Lead strategic assessment of emerging technologies, including AI, blockchain settlement networks, tokenized finance, and decentralized finance models.

Produce executive-level strategy documentation, ecosystem maps, and high-fidelity platform blueprints for stakeholders, regulators, and partners.

Advise governmental and financial authorities on fintech ecosystem growth, platform stability, and long-term regulatory alignment.

Establish metrics to evaluate platform health, ecosystem adoption, and strategic alignment over time.

Candidate Requirements

15+ years in digital finance platforms, fintech strategy, or financial ecosystem architecture.
