Strategic Mandate

This role exists to design, govern, and evolve next-generation fintech core platforms that underpin digital banking, payments, and capital flow systems at institutional and market-wide scale. The Executive Director is entrusted with redefining how financial value is processed, reconciled, settled, and audited across modern fintech ecosystems.

The position demands architectural authority over high-availability ledger engines, modular core banking replacements, API-first financial platforms, and real-time settlement frameworks, engineered to operate under extreme scale, regulatory scrutiny, and cross-border interoperability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and govern cloud-native, ledger-centric fintech platforms capable of real-time balance management, reconciliation, and settlement

• Define long-term technical roadmaps for core banking disaggregation, service-oriented financial platforms, and domain-driven financial architectures

• Establish system resilience standards covering fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and zero-data-loss guarantees

• Oversee integration with payments networks, liquidity engines, regulatory reporting platforms, and financial data exchanges

• Lead technical alignment with UAE financial market regulations, cybersecurity mandates, and data residency frameworks

• Define platform governance models, architectural review processes, and engineering excellence standards

• Serve as principal technical authority across multi-disciplinary fintech engineering teams

Required Expertise & Credentials

• 14+ years in fintech, core banking systems, or large-scale financial platform engineering

• Demonstrated leadership in core banking transformation or market infrastructure modernization

• Deep expertise in distributed ledgers, transaction engines, and financial data models

• Advanced understanding of financial regulations, auditability, and systemic risk considerations

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Financial Systems Engineering, or related discipline

Salary & Compensation Structure (Indicative)

• Base Annual Salary: AED 620,000 – AED 820,000

• Executive Performance Bonus: 25% – 35% of base salary
