Role Overview
We are seeking an Executive Director of Fintech Digital Payments & Cross-Border Transaction Architecture, a high-impact role designed to shape and govern state-of-the-art payment infrastructures across the GCC. The successful candidate will define the architecture, strategic roadmap, and governance framework for next-generation digital payment ecosystems, ensuring seamless interoperability with domestic and international financial networks.
This role is both highly technical and strategically visionary, requiring mastery in real-time settlement systems, tokenized transaction frameworks, distributed ledger integration, and API-driven financial networks. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in architecting national-scale or multi-country payment systems and will operate autonomously in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and deployment of high-volume, cross-border digital payment infrastructures with resilience, scalability, and regulatory alignment.

Architect end-to-end real-time payment ecosystems, encompassing digital wallets, instant settlement networks, and programmable transaction platforms.

Define systemic risk and fraud mitigation frameworks, ensuring operational continuity, latency optimization, and secure transaction orchestration.

Collaborate with international stakeholders, including banks, fintech platforms, payment processors, and telecommunication providers.

Develop strategic architectural blueprints and maintain comprehensive documentation for executive and regulatory review.

Oversee regulatory compliance alignment across GCC countries, ensuring adherence to regional payment standards and global interoperability frameworks.
Required Experience & Expertise

15+ years in digital payments architecture, transaction processing platforms, or financial infrastructure design.

Leadership in multi-country or national-scale payment platform development.

Advanced knowledge of ISO 20022, API-first architectures, microservices, cloud-native financial systems, and distributed ledgers.

Expertise in cross-border liquidity management, transaction monitoring, and financial risk controls.

Proven ability to operate in a fully remote executive capacity with minimal supervision.
Compensation Structure (UAE – Fully Remote)

Base Salary: AED 550,000 – AED 750,000 per annum

Performance & Milestone Bonuses: AED 150,000 – AED 250,000

Strategic Advisory Retainer: AED 100,000 – AED 180,000

Total Annual Value: AED 800,000 – AED 1,180,000
