Executive Position Overview

The rapid growth of digital financial services has significantly increased the demand for robust financial technology infrastructures capable of supporting large-scale digital banking ecosystems. Financial institutions now require highly scalable platforms that can integrate multiple financial services such as payments, lending systems, digital wallets, and financial analytics tools.

The Executive Director – Digital Financial Infrastructure & Platform Engineering will provide strategic leadership for the development of next-generation fintech platforms designed to support modern financial ecosystems. This role involves designing and overseeing secure, scalable infrastructure capable of processing high-volume digital financial transactions while maintaining operational resilience and regulatory readiness.

Operating remotely while contributing to fintech innovation aligned with Qatar’s financial ecosystem, the Executive Director will coordinate large international engineering teams responsible for building advanced digital financial platforms.

Strategic Responsibilities

Fintech Infrastructure Strategy

• Develop long-term architecture strategies for enterprise-scale fintech platforms.

• Guide the modernization of legacy financial systems into cloud-native digital financial environments.

• Ensure financial platforms can support rapid expansion of digital financial services.

Platform Architecture Oversight

• Lead the design of modular fintech platform frameworks supporting various financial services.

• Implement architecture standards that ensure scalability, reliability, and operational performance.

Operational Resilience & Security

• Establish advanced cybersecurity frameworks protecting digital financial infrastructures.

• Introduce infrastructure redundancy models ensuring uninterrupted financial system availability.

Technology Innovation

• Evaluate emerging fintech technologies capable of enhancing platform performance and service delivery.

• Guide engineering teams implementing new financial technology capabilities.

Candidate Profile

Experience:

15+ years within fintech infrastructure leadership, digital banking platform architecture, or financial technology engineering.

Technical Expertise:

Strong understanding of distributed financial systems, digital banking infrastructure, and cloud-native fintech platforms.

Leadership Capability:

Demonstrated ability to lead global engineering teams responsible for complex financial platform deployments.

Strategic Impact
