Position Overview

The financial services sector is rapidly evolving, moving away from monolithic legacy systems toward modular, cloud-native, and API-driven digital banking platforms. Financial institutions require leaders capable of architecting interoperable, scalable, and secure fintech ecosystems that support digital banking, payments, lending, and wealth technology solutions.

The Executive Director of Digital Banking Transformation & Platform Architecture will provide strategic leadership and hands-on direction for the design, deployment, and governance of advanced fintech infrastructure in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s financial innovation ecosystem. This role is fully remote and requires global collaboration expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Platform Strategy

• Lead the transformation from legacy banking systems to modern microservices-based platforms.

• Define enterprise architecture standards for API integration, cloud-native deployment, and fintech ecosystem interoperability.

• Develop platform roadmaps supporting embedded finance, digital payments, and AI-enabled financial services.

Open Banking & API Ecosystems

• Design secure open banking frameworks enabling seamless integration with third-party fintech services.

• Establish standards for real-time financial data sharing and cross-institutional collaboration.

Innovation & Emerging Technology Adoption

• Evaluate blockchain, AI, and analytics solutions to optimize banking operations.

• Implement predictive analytics and AI-powered fraud detection for real-time monitoring.

Governance, Compliance & Security

• Architect multi-layered cybersecurity protocols for enterprise-scale fintech platforms.

• Ensure compliance with regional regulations, international banking standards, and data privacy laws.

Technology Environment

• Cloud-native financial platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Microservices & containerized infrastructure

• API orchestration and open banking gateways

• AI-driven transaction analytics and predictive models

• Real-time financial data streaming and monitoring

Candidate Profile

Experience: 15+ years in digital banking architecture, enterprise fintech platforms, or open banking systems.

Skills: Expertise in API ecosystems, distributed banking infrastructure, and cloud-native platforms.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead global teams, execute large-scale transformation programs, and influence executive strategy.
