Role Overview
Traditional banking cores are being reimagined into modular, cloud-native, API-first ecosystems capable of supporting real-time financial services. This role is for an executive leader who can drive end-to-end transformation of core banking platforms, enabling agility, scalability, and continuous innovation.
You will lead one of the most complex initiatives in fintech—decoupling legacy systems and rebuilding them into a future-ready financial backbone.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a core banking transformation roadmap, including system modernization and migration
- Architect modular banking platforms using microservices and API layers
- Lead large-scale data migration and system integration programs
- Ensure interoperability with fintech platforms, payment systems, and digital channels
- Oversee implementation of real-time processing capabilities
- Establish governance for risk, compliance, and operational resilience
- Monitor KPIs such as system uptime, transaction speed, and transformation milestones
Technical Environment
- Core Systems: Modern core banking platforms and legacy systems
- Architecture: Microservices, API-first design
- Cloud: Hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Data: Migration, ETL pipelines, real-time processing
- Security: Enterprise-grade cybersecurity frameworks
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance (MBA preferred)
- 12+ years in banking technology or fintech transformation
- Strong expertise in core banking systems and digital transformation
- Experience managing large-scale, mission-critical programs
- Proven leadership in cross-functional and strategic initiatives
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with cloud-native core banking platforms
- Knowledge of open banking ecosystems
- Familiarity with DevOps and agile transformation models
- Strong stakeholder and executive communication skills
