Position Overview

The global financial services industry is undergoing a structural shift toward modular, cloud-native digital banking ecosystems. We are seeking an Executive Director of Digital Banking Architecture to lead the strategic design, deployment, and governance of enterprise-scale fintech platforms within the Saudi Arabian financial technology ecosystem. This fully remote executive position requires expertise in open banking, distributed systems, and cross-border financial services integration.

The Executive Director will define architecture standards, ensure platform scalability, and implement cutting-edge digital finance solutions that enable seamless interaction across banks, fintech providers, and third-party service providers.

Key Strategic Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Digital Banking Leadership

• Design and implement enterprise-grade digital banking frameworks incorporating API orchestration, microservices, and modular platform design.

• Define architecture governance and establish best practices for scalable fintech infrastructure.

• Ensure integration of digital banking, lending, wealth management, and payment systems.

Open Finance & API Ecosystem Development

• Lead the design of secure open banking APIs enabling third-party financial services integration.

• Develop interoperability standards for financial data exchange across institutions.

• Enable embedded finance solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Innovation & Emerging Technology Integration

• Evaluate blockchain, AI, and analytics solutions for financial process automation and risk mitigation.

• Implement intelligent transaction monitoring, predictive analytics, and AI-powered fraud detection frameworks.

• Identify opportunities for cloud-native transformation and next-generation platform deployment.

Security & Compliance

• Oversee the implementation of multi-layered cybersecurity and encryption frameworks.

• Ensure all systems comply with local and international fintech regulatory standards.

• Monitor platform integrity, operational resilience, and data protection compliance.

Technology Environment

Professionals in this role typically engage with:
