Global finance is transitioning toward:
- Tokenized representations of assets
- Programmable financial instruments
- Hybrid systems combining traditional finance and decentralized infrastructure
This role is tasked with designing and operationalizing that transition within a regulated environment.
Core Strategic Mandate
1. Tokenized Asset Ecosystems
- Develop frameworks for tokenizing:
- Fixed income instruments
- Real estate assets
- Alternative investments
- Enable fractional ownership and secondary market liquidity
2. Institutional DeFi Integration
- Bridge traditional financial systems with decentralized liquidity protocols
- Design risk-controlled access mechanisms for institutional participants
3. Digital Asset Custody Infrastructure
- Architect secure custody solutions:
- Multi-party computation (MPC)
- Hardware security modules
- Define governance models for asset issuance and lifecycle management
4. Programmable Finance Systems
- Implement smart contract-based financial workflows
- Enable conditional payments, automated settlements, and financial automation
Architectural Challenges
- Interoperability between blockchain networks and legacy systems
- Scalability of tokenized systems under institutional demand
- Security against advanced cyber threats
- Compliance within evolving regulatory frameworks
Regulatory Engagement
- Collaborate with Bahrain’s fintech regulatory ecosystem
- Contribute to policy development for digital assets and tokenization
- Ensure compliance with global financial stability standards
Candidate Profile
- 15–20 years in fintech, capital markets, or blockchain infrastructure
- Deep expertise in tokenization, digital assets, and financial engineering
- Experience working with regulators or institutional financial systems
Compensation
- $320,000 – $650,000 annually
- Long-term incentives tied to ecosystem adoption and asset growth
