Strategic Role Mandate
This role defines how fintech platforms maintain discipline, stability, and integrity as they scale. The Executive Director of Platform Governance & Systemic Integrity establishes the rules, controls, and decision frameworks that ensure innovation does not compromise financial correctness or operational resilience.
The mandate operates above day-to-day execution, focusing instead on institutional governance, embedded controls, and long-term platform sustainability.
Key Responsibilities

Design platform-wide governance frameworks covering authority, escalation, and accountability

Define embedded control architectures governing financial, operational, and systemic boundaries

Establish integrity standards for transaction processing, data handling, and system availability

Oversee incident governance, resilience planning, and recovery frameworks

Develop executive-level indicators for platform health and systemic risk

Advise senior stakeholders on governance trade-offs related to scale and complexity

Produce long-term governance charters and institutional evolution roadmaps
Professional Requirements

15–22+ years in fintech governance, platform oversight, or financial systems control

Strong background in operational risk, control architecture, and system resilience

Experience governing large-scale, multi-component fintech platforms

Exceptional executive communication and policy-design capability

Demonstrated success leading globally distributed, fully remote teams
