The Strategic Opportunity
A rapidly expanding financial technology institution driving next-generation banking innovation across the GCC is seeking a highly accomplished Executive DevOps Architect – Digital Banking Infrastructure & Payment Reliability to lead the design, automation, and long-term modernization of enterprise infrastructure powering digital banking platforms, payment ecosystems, treasury operations, and mission-critical financial services.
This role goes far beyond conventional DevOps responsibilities. It is a strategic leadership position where infrastructure architecture directly influences transaction continuity, customer trust, platform resilience, regulatory confidence, and institutional growth.
The successful professional will oversee cloud-native transformation across payment gateways, merchant acquiring platforms, real-time settlements, customer onboarding systems, API banking services, digital wallets, and operational finance environments where performance and availability are business-critical.

Core Responsibilities
• Lead enterprise DevOps architecture across digital banking systems, payment gateways, transaction processing platforms, and treasury infrastructure
• Design and optimize cloud-native environments supporting high-volume financial transactions, financial reporting systems, and customer-facing banking services
• Build secure CI/CD pipelines enabling fast, controlled, and audit-ready deployments across regulated financial products
• Strengthen Kubernetes orchestration, microservices architecture, and distributed platform reliability across payment ecosystems
• Implement Infrastructure as Code frameworks for scalable, repeatable, and secure environment provisioning
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, cybersecurity, treasury, and executive leadership teams to ensure platform stability and governance alignment
• Improve monitoring, observability, incident response, and operational resilience across business-critical financial systems
• Lead disaster recovery planning, failover strategies, and business continuity engineering across institutional financial operations
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, financial governance standards, cloud security requirements, and enterprise audit expectations
• Mentor engineering teams while driving long-term platform modernization and operational excellence initiatives
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline
• 8–12+ years of DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience within fintech, banking, or enterprise financial systems
• Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP with deep hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD ecosystems
• Experience supporting payment systems, API banking services, treasury operations, or high-volume digital transaction platforms
• Strong knowledge of observability tools, incident management, and compliance-driven infrastructure operations
• Excellent leadership capability with strong executive stakeholder communication skills
