Strategic Role Definition
This executive-level role is conceived for a fintech professional operating at the highest echelon of global digital finance architecture, with primary accountability for designing, governing, and scaling cross-border digital payment rails and multi-jurisdictional transaction ecosystems.
The position is fully remote, strategically aligned with Bahrain’s advanced digital finance environment, and structured to support regional and international financial corridors spanning the GCC, emerging markets, and established global payment hubs.
Core Strategic Accountability

Define and lead the architectural blueprint for cross-border payment infrastructures, including instant payments, high-value transfers, and programmable settlement systems

Establish unified frameworks for multi-currency liquidity management, FX routing logic, and settlement finality

Design interoperability layers enabling seamless connectivity between domestic payment systems, regional rails, and global networks

Own end-to-end transaction lifecycle governance, including authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception management

Act as principal authority on scalability, resilience, and systemic risk mitigation within payment ecosystems
Advanced Technical & Infrastructure Scope

Distributed transaction processing architectures with deterministic settlement logic

API-first payment orchestration engines supporting modular expansion

Event-driven financial systems designed for real-time observability and auditability

Advanced cryptographic controls for transaction integrity and data protection

Regulatory, Risk & Market Integration

Translate complex cross-border regulatory expectations into technical control frameworks

Design payment systems capable of producing regulator-ready reporting in real time

Ideal Executive Profile

15+ years in digital payments, financial infrastructure, or transaction systems leadership

Proven experience designing or governing large-scale, multi-market payment platforms

Deep understanding of settlement risk, liquidity dynamics, and financial market plumbing

Demonstrated ability to operate across diverse regulatory and technical environments
Salary Structure (Indicative – Fully Remote)

Base Annual Compensation: BHD 85,000 – BHD 105,000

Executive Performance Incentive: 30% – 40% of base
