Leadership Opportunity
The Director will lead a broad transformation agenda focused on modernizing payment capabilities, improving digital financial experiences and creating commercially sustainable payment ecosystems.
Rather than operating as a conventional project-management position, this role requires an executive capable of connecting business strategy, payment economics, technology modernization and customer experience into one coherent transformation programme.
Strategic Accountabilities

Establish and execute a multi-year payments transformation roadmap.

Lead initiatives covering digital payments, merchant services, payment gateways and transaction platforms.

Identify opportunities to improve payment authorization, settlement and reconciliation processes.

Develop strategic partnerships with banks, payment providers, technology firms and fintech platforms.

Oversee major payment-platform modernization programmes.
-
Establish commercial and operational KPIs for payment businesses.

Evaluate emerging payment technologies and determine their practical business value.

Coordinate product, technology, operations, risk and commercial stakeholders.

Develop investment cases for new payment capabilities.

Present transformation progress, financial performance and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Candidate Requirements

10+ years of experience in payments, fintech, banking, consulting or financial technology.

Proven leadership experience managing complex transformation programmes.

Deep understanding of payment ecosystems and digital financial products.

Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and strategic technology programmes.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.

Indicative Compensation
OMR 7,000–10,000 per month, depending on leadership experience and organisational scope, plus benefits.
