Director of Financial Intelligence- Risk Analytics & AI-Driven Decision Systems

Location Anchor: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Remote – Strategic GCC Scope)

Position Narrative

This role is crafted for a fintech leader who views financial risk, intelligence, and analytics not as compliance necessities, but as strategic weapons. The Director will design and oversee intelligent systems that transform raw financial data into predictive, defensible, and monetizable insights.

The mandate is not limited to dashboards or reporting. Instead, the role focuses on building AI-driven financial intelligence engines that actively shape credit decisions, transaction approvals, fraud prevention, and long-term platform sustainability.

Primary Mission

• Architect intelligent decisioning frameworks across payments, lending, and digital financial products.

• Develop real-time and batch-based risk analytics pipelines.

• Embed machine-learning models directly into transaction and onboarding flows.

• Transform compliance and monitoring obligations into automated intelligence layers.

Scope of Responsibility

Financial Intelligence Architecture

• Design scalable data ingestion pipelines spanning transactional, behavioral, and external data sources.

• Build real-time risk scoring engines capable of sub-second decisioning.

• Define model governance frameworks covering explainability, bias mitigation, and lifecycle management.

AI & Advanced Analytics

• Oversee development of supervised and unsupervised models for fraud detection and anomaly identification.

• Apply advanced statistical modeling to credit risk, exposure management, and portfolio health.

• Integrate AI outputs into operational workflows rather than standalone analytics tools.

Governance & Oversight

• Define internal standards for model validation, performance monitoring, and regulatory defensibility.

• Ensure financial intelligence systems remain auditable, explainable, and regulator-ready.

• Coordinate with legal, compliance, and engineering stakeholders across jurisdictions.

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years in fintech analytics, financial risk, or AI-driven financial systems.

• Strong background in machine learning, data engineering, and applied statistics.

• Demonstrated experience deploying models into live financial environments.

• Comfortable operating at both strategic and deeply technical levels.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for executive-level engagement.
