Executive Summary

A rapidly emerging financial innovation landscape in Qatar is seeking a Director of Digital Asset & Blockchain Ecosystem Strategy to define and execute a comprehensive digital asset roadmap.

This role focuses on ecosystem creation rather than isolated product development, requiring a blend of blockchain expertise, regulatory insight, and macro-financial strategy.

Mandate of the Role

You will design and lead initiatives that position digital assets as a core pillar of financial infrastructure, including:

• Tokenized asset platforms

• Institutional-grade custody solutions

• Blockchain-based financial instruments

• Smart contract-enabled financial ecosystems

Core Responsibilities

1. Blockchain Strategy & Ecosystem Design

• Develop end-to-end strategies for public and private blockchain integration

• Evaluate and deploy Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain solutions

• Architect token economies and governance frameworks

2. Digital Asset Infrastructure

• Design infrastructure for:

  • Custody and wallet management

  • Token issuance platforms

  • Smart contract deployment pipelines

3. Regulatory Engagement & Framework Alignment

• Interface with regulators to shape digital asset policies and compliance structures

• Ensure alignment with global digital asset regulations and risk frameworks

4. Institutional Adoption Strategy

• Develop frameworks to onboard:

  • Banks

  • Investment firms

  • Payment providers

• Create institutional-grade solutions that bridge traditional finance and digital assets

Required Background

• 12+ years in fintech, with at least 5 years in blockchain or digital asset ecosystems

• Strong understanding of Ethereum, Hyperledger, or similar blockchain frameworks

• Experience designing tokenomics and decentralized governance models

• Familiarity with smart contract languages (Solidity, Rust)

Strategic Differentiators

• Experience with tokenized securities or real-world asset tokenization

• Knowledge of cross-chain interoperability protocols

• Exposure to institutional digital asset custody solutions
