Executive Overview

Embedded finance is transforming financial services delivery by integrating banking, payments, lending, and investment services directly into digital platforms, marketplaces, and apps. Kuwait’s fintech ecosystem is increasingly leveraging API-first financial architecture to deliver seamless user experiences and drive new revenue opportunities.

The Director – Embedded Finance & Digital Ecosystem Strategy will lead the development of cloud-native, modular fintech platforms enabling embedded financial services at scale. Responsibilities include defining platform architecture, guiding fintech partnerships, and enabling large-scale adoption of embedded finance solutions across GCC digital ecosystems.

Strategic Responsibilities

1. Platform Architecture & Engineering

   • Design and deploy API-first fintech platforms for seamless integration with third-party applications.

   • Ensure system scalability, resilience, and regulatory compliance.

2. Ecosystem Partnerships & Strategy

   • Identify high-value fintech and digital platform partners to expand embedded financial services.

   • Develop business and partnership strategies for regional fintech ecosystem growth.

3. Innovation & Market Expansion

   • Introduce emerging solutions such as AI-powered lending, programmable payments, and digital wallet integration.

   • Drive cross-border financial services adoption in alignment with regional regulations.

4. Governance & Operational Oversight

   • Implement risk management, compliance, and monitoring frameworks to secure embedded finance operations.

   • Maintain customer data privacy and transaction security across platforms.

Technology Environment

• Cloud-native, API-driven fintech ecosystems

• Embedded payments and transaction orchestration

• Real-time analytics for customer experience and operational efficiency

• Identity verification and regulatory compliance tools

• Digital wallets and integrated financial service dashboards

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 12–16 years in embedded finance, fintech product architecture, or ecosystem strategy

• Technical Expertise: API-first platform design, cloud-native architectures, embedded financial services

• Leadership: Proven record managing multi-disciplinary global teams delivering enterprise-scale fintech solutions
