Role Context
This role focuses on building AI-native fintech platforms where decision-making is embedded directly into system architecture. The Director will oversee the evolution of fintech systems from rule-driven workflows into autonomous, learning-enabled financial organisms.
The objective is not automation for efficiency alone, but intelligent orchestration—where systems continuously learn, adapt, and self-optimize within clearly defined governance boundaries.
Strategic Responsibilities

Design AI-native platform architectures where intelligence is core, not additive

Develop autonomous financial decision systems for pricing, risk evaluation, and operational optimization

Architect model governance frameworks ensuring explainability, accountability, and control

Integrate AI intelligence across payments, treasury, analytics, and financial operations

Define escalation and override mechanisms balancing autonomy with institutional oversight

Advise leadership on ethical, operational, and systemic implications of AI-driven finance
Required Expertise

12+ years in fintech systems, applied AI, or financial intelligence platforms

Strong experience designing machine-learning-driven financial workflows

Deep understanding of financial data behavior and decision semantics

Experience leading cross-functional remote teams (engineering, data, strategy)
