Executive Position Overview

A confidential enterprise fintech transformation programme is seeking an internationally accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Digital Banking Operations, Enterprise Transformation & Financial Technology Excellence to lead the operational strategy behind one of the Gulf region’s most ambitious digital financial ecosystems.

The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for translating corporate vision into enterprise-wide operational execution by integrating intelligent banking platforms, AI-driven automation, enterprise payments, cloud-native financial infrastructure, customer-centric service delivery, regulatory governance, cybersecurity resilience, and operational excellence into a unified business model.

This executive appointment demands a transformational leader capable of directing complex multidisciplinary operations while fostering innovation, scalability, resilience, and sustainable commercial growth across digital banking, payment technologies, financial operations, customer service, product delivery, technology, and enterprise support functions.

Working closely with the Board of Directors, executive committee, regulators, and strategic partners, the COO will shape long-term operational priorities while ensuring exceptional execution across every business division.

Executive Leadership Responsibilities

Enterprise Operations

• Develop and execute enterprise operational strategies.

• Lead organization-wide digital transformation programmes.

• Establish high-performance operational frameworks.

• Optimize enterprise-wide service delivery models.

• Improve organizational efficiency and scalability.

• Drive operational excellence across all business units.

Digital Banking & Payments

• Oversee enterprise digital banking operations.

• Direct modernization of payment ecosystems.

• Optimize transaction processing environments.

• Expand API-enabled banking services.

• Improve operational resilience across financial platforms.

• Strengthen customer-centric banking operations.

Technology & Innovation

• Lead enterprise automation initiatives.

• Integrate AI-driven operational intelligence.

• Oversee cloud-enabled operational platforms.

• Drive enterprise workflow optimization.

• Support intelligent financial product delivery.

Executive Governance

• Chair executive operational steering committees.

• Present operational performance reports to the Board.

• Develop enterprise KPI frameworks.

• Build strategic operational partnerships.

• Mentor executive leadership teams.

• Promote innovation, accountability, and operational discipline.

Executive Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Doctorate in Business Administration, Finance, Financial Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

• Minimum 20 years of executive leadership experience in banking, fintech, or enterprise operations.

• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale operational transformation.

• Strong expertise in digital banking, AI, cloud technologies, operational governance, and organizational leadership.

• Outstanding executive communication, commercial acumen, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
