Role Overview

This strategic role directs the design of institutional-level tokenization frameworks and digital-asset governance systems aligned with Bahrain’s innovation-driven financial sector. The Director will construct robust governance models for multi-asset tokenization, DLT-based settlement structures, programmable compliance engines, and high-integrity lifecycle controls for digital assets. The role requires deep alignment with international standards for digital-asset custody, token-classification methodologies, and ledger-based verification systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and govern end-to-end tokenization frameworks covering issuance, classification, lifecycle management, digital-asset settlement, and multi-jurisdictional compliance logic.

• Develop DLT infrastructure strategies supporting high-throughput settlement, cross-ledger interoperability, secure asset custody, and institutional auditability.

• Lead smart-contract governance modeling, ensuring deterministic execution, embedded compliance rules, programmable reporting, and cryptographic accountability.

• Conduct R&D and high-level design for tokenized instruments including tokenized deposits, digital-asset collateralization models, synthetic liquidity layers, and programmable financial instruments.

• Establish technical standards for risk management, cryptographic assurance, operational controls, and system auditability across tokenized ecosystems.

• Deliver comprehensive design documentation, structured governance blueprints, and long-horizon technology adaptation strategies.

Required Experience

• 10+ years in blockchain engineering, digital-asset architecture, DLT ecosystem governance, or financial-technology strategy.

• Mastery of smart contracts, consensus mechanisms, cryptographic primitives, asset-tokenization frameworks, and regulatory compliance structures.

• Familiarity with Bahrain’s advanced digital-asset regulatory orientation and broader GCC digital-finance modernization initiatives.

• Leadership experience across multi-disciplinary technology, legal, and regulatory environments.
