Position Overview

An established financial institution in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join its Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering team. This role is ideal for a technology professional who is passionate about automation, cloud-native infrastructure, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and modern DevSecOps practices.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments that support critical banking applications and digital financial services. Working closely with software engineers, cybersecurity specialists, cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and quality assurance professionals, you will help accelerate software delivery while ensuring operational reliability and compliance with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.

• Automate software deployment and infrastructure provisioning processes.

• Build and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized application deployments.

• Administer Docker environments and container registries.

• Improve application deployment speed through automation and pipeline optimization.

• Monitor cloud infrastructure availability and performance.

• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.

• Support production environments and resolve infrastructure incidents.

• Collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery processes.

• Integrate automated testing into deployment pipelines.

• Implement DevSecOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Strengthen cloud security through identity management, encryption, and access controls.

• Optimize cloud resource utilization and operational costs.

• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and infrastructure maintenance.

• Configure load balancers, reverse proxies, and network services.

• Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.

• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment procedures, and operational standards.

• Research emerging DevOps technologies and recommend continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration.

• Knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, VPN, TCP/IP, load balancing, and firewalls.

• Familiarity with security best practices and DevSecOps methodologies.

• Experience supporting highly available production environments.

Professional certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are highly desirable.
