Position Overview

An established enterprise organization in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join its Cloud Infrastructure team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments that support business-critical applications and digital transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will work alongside Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, Cybersecurity Specialists, Network Engineers, and Software Development teams to build resilient cloud platforms while ensuring high availability, security, performance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

• Build highly available and fault-tolerant cloud environments.

• Configure virtual networks, VPNs, load balancers, DNS services, and cloud storage.

• Manage cloud compute resources and containerized workloads.

• Monitor infrastructure performance and optimize cloud resource utilization.

• Support Kubernetes and Docker environments.

• Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management.

• Implement cloud backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

• Strengthen cloud security using IAM policies, encryption, firewalls, and security monitoring tools.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD deployment processes.

• Maintain cloud documentation and operational standards.

• Perform cloud cost optimization and capacity planning.

• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure incidents and recommend long-term improvements.

• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience with Linux and Windows Server administration.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.

• Understanding of networking, cloud security, virtualization, and automation.
