Job Overview
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Chief Technology Officer to lead our technology organization through its next phase of growth. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategic vision and technical execution, capable of building scalable, secure, and innovative digital platforms that serve a rapidly growing customer base. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to lead high-performing engineering teams in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall technology strategy in alignment with company vision and business objectives
- Lead, mentor, and scale engineering, product, data, and security teams
- Oversee the architecture, development, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and highly available platforms
- Ensure robust cybersecurity practices, data protection, and compliance with relevant regulatory standards
- Drive innovation through the adoption of emerging technologies, automation, and best-in-class engineering practices
- Partner closely with the CEO, CFO, and other executives to align technology investments with business growth
- Own the technology budget, vendor relationships, and infrastructure planning
- Establish and monitor KPIs for system performance, uptime, and engineering productivity
- Build and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk management protocols
- Represent technology leadership to the board, investors, regulators, and key stakeholders
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
Required Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior executive capacity (CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated success scaling technology teams and platforms within a regulated or high-compliance environment
- Strong track record of leading digital transformation initiatives and delivering complex, mission-critical systems
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar technology budgets and vendor negotiations
- Prior experience working closely with executive leadership, boards, and external regulators/auditors
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architecture
- Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, and distributed systems design
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js)
- Solid grounding in cybersecurity principles, encryption standards, and secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC)
- Experience with data engineering, real-time processing, and large-scale data pipelines
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to data privacy and security (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
- Experience with high-availability, high-transaction-volume systems and performance optimization
- Understanding of AI/ML integration and its practical business applications is a plus
