Role Overview:
Bahrain remains a pivotal regional leader in open finance transformation, cloud banking innovation, and AI-governed digital ecosystems. The Chief Innovation Officer will direct end-to-end strategic and technological initiatives that elevate Bahrain’s digital asset and open banking infrastructure—establishing new standards in transparency, scalability, and AI-regulated interoperability.
This senior leadership role demands a multidisciplinary innovator fluent in financial intelligence systems, blockchain governance, and next-generation payments infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

Architect next-generation digital asset ecosystems integrating decentralized ledgers, AI-driven compliance systems, and data intelligence layers.

Lead strategic design of open banking frameworks supporting third-party access, API harmonization, and cross-platform risk management.

Develop digital asset tokenization models aligned with international best practices for institutional adoption and liquidity optimization.

Oversee innovation in algorithmic payments, machine-learning risk systems, and data-driven credit analytics.

Collaborate with international policy institutions to align Bahrain’s fintech ecosystem with global open finance regulations.
Qualifications & Expertise:

10+ years of leadership in digital finance, blockchain infrastructure, or fintech innovation management.

Expertise in AI architecture, API-based open banking systems, and decentralized asset governance.

Advanced degree in Digital Finance, AI Systems, or Computational Economics.

Demonstrated success in deploying financial innovation across multi-market ecosystems.
