This position is intended for a senior fintech professional whose expertise sits at the convergence of digital banking platforms, large-scale financial systems, and next-generation financial architecture. The role is not operational in nature; instead, it is deeply strategic, requiring the ability to design, critique, and evolve fintech systems that operate at national and cross-border scale.
The Chief Fintech Systems Strategist is expected to think in terms of financial ecosystems rather than products, focusing on how digital banking capabilities, payment rails, data layers, and customer interfaces interact as a single, resilient system.
Primary Strategic Objectives

Define long-term architectural direction for digital banking and embedded financial platforms.

Establish scalable system blueprints capable of supporting millions of users and high transaction velocity.

Translate regulatory, security, and market constraints into system-level design decisions.

Ensure interoperability between legacy financial infrastructure and modern fintech stacks.
Key Responsibilities

Architect modular digital banking platforms using API-first and cloud-native principles.

Design integration layers connecting payments, account services, lending modules, and analytics engines.

Define system resilience strategies, including redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery.

Establish architectural governance frameworks and technical decision-making standards.

Mentor senior engineers and product architects through design reviews and technical steering sessions.
Required Background

12+ years in fintech, digital banking, or financial systems architecture.

Demonstrated experience designing large-scale financial platforms or core banking alternatives.

Strong understanding of transaction processing, financial data models, and system security.

Ability to operate autonomously while influencing distributed, senior stakeholders.
