Role Overview

The Chief Financial Systems Architect is a C-level strategic role tasked with overseeing the design, integration, and optimization of large-scale digital financial infrastructures. This includes core banking systems, cross-border payment platforms, liquidity networks, and enterprise financial intelligence systems.

This executive will operate at the intersection of technology, operations, and regulation, ensuring that financial networks remain highly available, scalable, and secure, while maintaining regulatory compliance across GCC and international standards.

Strategic Responsibilities

1. Core Banking & Digital Infrastructure

• Architect resilient, modular core banking systems supporting multi-currency operations

• Integrate advanced ledger systems for real-time transaction reconciliation

• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities

2. Cross-Border Payments & Liquidity Networks

• Design efficient cross-border payment pipelines with automated clearing and settlement

• Optimize liquidity management across multiple financial corridors

• Implement real-time monitoring and exception handling frameworks

3. Enterprise Financial Intelligence

• Lead predictive analytics for transaction monitoring and risk assessment

• Establish enterprise-wide financial dashboards and KPIs

• Integrate AI-based decision support for strategic financial planning

Technology Stack

• Distributed ledger and blockchain-enabled banking platforms

• Real-time transaction orchestration engines

• AI/ML-driven analytics and risk assessment frameworks

• Cloud-native financial system architecture

• High-performance API integration layer for multi-platform interoperability

Regulatory Alignment

Systems must comply with frameworks governed by the Saudi Central Bank, ensuring adherence to financial system integrity, cybersecurity, and cross-border transaction standards.

Required Profile

• 20+ years in digital banking architecture, payments, or fintech infrastructure

• Proven experience in large-scale cross-border financial system design

• Deep expertise in distributed systems, real-time transaction processing, and AI-driven analytics

• Experience managing globally distributed architecture teams
