Role Summary
This executive-level mandate drives the UAE’s next horizon of digital payments modernization, orchestrating architectures that extend across multi-rail settlement systems, intelligent transaction routing, open-API ecosystems, and tokenized liquidity frameworks. The strategist will engineer the conceptual, regulatory, operational, and infrastructural blueprint required to elevate the Emirates’ digital finance landscape to a sustained Tier-1 benchmark.
Core Responsibilities
Digital Payments Architecture Leadership

Engineer a unified multi-rail payments model integrating ISO 20022, real-time instant transfer systems, API-led orchestration, and merchant-embedded payment layers.

Develop forward-looking frameworks for tokenized deposits, digital settlement liquidity, and programmable money use cases aligned with UAE’s evolving financial regulations.

Design dynamic clearing and settlement protocols optimizing cost, latency, and fraud-resilience across cross-border corridors.
Ecosystem-Level Strategic Development

Establish architecture for interoperable open-banking/finance data exchange across retail, SME, government, and institutional stakeholders.

Lead long-range scenario planning and macro-infrastructure forecasting to support the UAE’s ambitions for frictionless regional digital trade flows.

Formulate enterprise-grade risk, governance, and compliance pipelines consistent with ESR, data-residency mandates, and international regulatory benchmarks.
Operational Intelligence & Analytics

Define AI-driven decisioning engines for transaction intelligence, fraud analytics, sanctions screening, and customer lifecycle modeling.

Propose frameworks for decentralized identity, privacy-preserving authentication, and digital KYC orchestration.
Candidate Profile

12+ years in digital payments, fintech strategy, settlement systems, or real-time payments engineering.

Proven experience architecting large-scale, API-based financial infrastructure across multinational ecosystems.

Advanced knowledge of GCC payments regulations, data compliance, cross-border liquidity, and modern security standards.
