Role Purpose

This role is designed for a senior fintech architect whose professional strength lies in designing, governing, and future-proofing large-scale digital payments and financial infrastructure. Operating fully remotely while aligned with the UAE fintech environment, the position focuses on how financial systems are built, connected, secured, and evolved over time.

The role is not limited to implementation; it is centered on architectural authority and long-term infrastructure stewardship across complex, high-volume financial ecosystems.

Core Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end digital payments architectures, including transaction routing, clearing logic, settlement models, and reconciliation frameworks

• Establish architecture principles for scalability, fault tolerance, latency control, and system resilience

• Define standards for API ecosystems, message protocols, and platform interoperability

• Lead the architectural integration of wallet platforms, merchant acquiring systems, and cross-border transaction flows

• Translate regulatory and risk expectations into technical controls embedded within system design

• Own long-term infrastructure roadmaps, including modernization, decommissioning, and evolution strategies

Strategic Scope

• Act as the final architectural authority for mission-critical financial systems

• Prevent fragmentation and uncontrolled technical debt across platforms

• Ensure systems remain adaptable to future transaction models and volumes

• Balance innovation velocity with infrastructure stability

Ideal Professional Profile

• 12–18 years in fintech, payments engineering, or financial systems architecture

• Proven experience leading large-scale, high-availability transaction platforms

• Deep understanding of payments lifecycles and infrastructure resilience

• Strong documentation, design governance, and decision-making discipline

• Comfortable operating autonomously with system-level accountability
