Executive Opportunity
A rapidly expanding financial technology organization is seeking a visionary Chief Digital Payments & Ecosystem Officer to architect next-generation payment ecosystems across the GCC. This executive will lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives involving instant payments, digital wallets, merchant acquiring, payment orchestration, cross-border transactions, and strategic banking partnerships.
This role requires an accomplished leader capable of translating emerging financial technologies into scalable commercial solutions while ensuring regulatory excellence, operational resilience, and superior customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop long-term enterprise payment strategies.
- Lead modernization of payment infrastructure.
- Oversee digital wallet expansion initiatives.
- Drive Open Banking integration programs.
- Establish partnerships with banks and financial institutions.
- Build merchant acquisition strategies.
- Improve transaction success rates.
- Optimize payment routing intelligence.
- Lead financial innovation programs.
- Develop pricing strategies for payment products.
- Manage executive-level stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor payment risk and fraud frameworks.
- Supervise payment operations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Guide product commercialization initiatives.
- Present digital transformation reports to executive boards.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science or related discipline.
- 12+ years in fintech, banking technology or payment ecosystems.
- Experience leading enterprise payment transformation.
- Strong understanding of Open Banking.
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards.
- Familiarity with SWIFT, SEPA, Visa, Mastercard and regional payment rails.
- Executive leadership experience.
- Excellent negotiation and strategic planning skills.
