Executive Mandate
We are seeking an accomplished Digital Payments Architecture Chief to establish the technology blueprint for a modern, scalable payment ecosystem.
The successful candidate will provide enterprise-level architectural leadership across payment processing, transaction orchestration, APIs, digital wallets, settlement infrastructure, merchant connectivity, data platforms, and high-availability financial systems.
Strategic Responsibilities

Define the enterprise architecture vision for digital payment infrastructure.

Establish target-state architecture for payment processing and transaction orchestration.

Design scalable platforms capable of supporting high-volume transaction workloads.

Establish standards for APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and service integration.

Develop architectural frameworks for payment gateways, wallets, merchant services, and settlement systems.

Lead modernisation of legacy payment infrastructure.

Establish requirements for resilience, disaster recovery, observability, and fault tolerance.

Evaluate cloud and distributed-system architectures for financial workloads.

Partner with cybersecurity teams to embed security into payment architecture.

Lead architecture governance across major fintech programmes.

Evaluate technology vendors and strategic infrastructure partners.

Mentor senior architects and technology leaders.

Present architectural roadmaps, investment requirements, and technology risks to executive stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience

12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, payment technology, fintech, banking technology, or financial infrastructure.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

Extensive experience designing mission-critical financial systems.

Strong knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms, microservices, databases, and payment infrastructure.

Proven experience leading large-scale architecture programmes.

Strong executive communication and technical governance capabilities.

Indicative Compensation
AED 65,000–95,000 monthly + executive benefits and performance incentives, depending on experience and mandate.
