Chief Digital Payments Architect – Dubai

Compensation: Competitive base salary USD 180,000 – 220,000 per annum, performance-based bonus, equity opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and flexible work allowances.
Role Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Chief Digital Payments Architect to lead the design, implementation, and strategic evolution of next-generation digital payment platforms. This role targets visionary professionals capable of shaping Dubai’s fintech landscape through cutting-edge blockchain, AI, and real-time payment architectures. The position requires mastery in high-volume transactional systems, regulatory alignment, and cross-border settlement frameworks.
Key Responsibilities

Define and drive the end-to-end digital payment architecture, integrating traditional banking rails with emerging decentralized finance protocols.

Lead strategic initiatives to enhance payment speed, security, and interoperability across multi-currency environments.

Develop innovative solutions for AI-driven fraud detection, risk analytics, and predictive financial modeling.

Collaborate with regulatory bodies in the UAE and GCC to ensure full compliance and future-proofing of payment ecosystems.

Serve as a thought leader in fintech, advising senior stakeholders on emerging technologies and market disruptions.

Mentor and guide engineering and product teams, establishing a culture of innovation, excellence, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Fintech, Financial Engineering, or related field.

12+ years of experience in digital payments, financial technology, or blockchain infrastructure.

Proven expertise in payment network protocols (SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022, RTP).

Hands-on experience with AI/ML in risk analytics, anti-fraud, and transaction monitoring.

Strong understanding of cross-border regulatory frameworks, including AML/KYC, PSD2, and UAE Central Bank guidelines.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
