A confidential financial technology institution is expanding its executive leadership team and seeks a visionary Chief Payments Innovation Officer to architect the next generation of payment ecosystems serving financial institutions, enterprises, merchants, and digital consumers throughout the GCC and international markets.
This appointment is intended for an executive capable of combining commercial strategy, payment infrastructure modernization, digital transformation, and emerging technologies into scalable financial products that redefine customer experience and accelerate sustainable business growth.
Strategic Leadership Responsibilities
- Define the enterprise-wide payment innovation roadmap.
- Lead modernization of domestic and international payment infrastructures.
- Drive digital wallet, merchant acquiring, payment gateway and embedded finance strategies.
- Establish strategic partnerships with banks, payment processors, fintech ecosystems and technology providers.
- Direct enterprise product innovation from concept through commercialization.
- Build scalable payment architectures supporting millions of daily transactions.
- Champion AI-powered payment intelligence and automation.
- Oversee payment risk governance and operational resilience.
- Develop executive financial technology strategies supporting regional expansion.
- Lead cross-border payment optimization initiatives.
- Build high-performing executive leadership teams.
- Present strategic investment recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Drive continuous innovation across digital financial services.
Executive Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline.
- 15+ years of leadership experience within fintech, banking or global payments.
- Strong commercial leadership background.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale payment platforms.
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multicultural international teams.
