As DeFi adoption grows, governance policies must be embedded directly into protocol architecture to ensure compliance, auditability, and operational trust.

A Smart Contract Governance & DeFi Policy Specialist is required to bridge technical smart contract design with governance policy enforcement.

Core Mission

To ensure DeFi protocols operate with:

• Policy-driven smart contract governance
• Secure execution of decentralized financial rules
• Controlled and auditable governance frameworks

Primary Responsibilities

1. Smart Contract Governance Review

• Review governance-related smart contract logic for structural risks and policy alignment.
• Ensure protocol upgrades align with approved governance frameworks.
• Identify vulnerabilities in governance execution flows.

2. DeFi Policy Framework Development

• Design governance policies for protocol upgrades, treasury controls, and voting systems.
• Translate governance requirements into enforceable protocol rules.
• Build operational governance standards for decentralized systems.

3. Token Governance & Voting Systems

• Evaluate governance token structures and voting rights distribution.
• Assess risks related to governance centralization and voting manipulation.
• Improve fairness and transparency in protocol participation.

4. Audit & Governance Controls

• Support governance audits for protocol actions and treasury decisions.
• Monitor governance execution for policy violations or operational anomalies.
• Ensure traceability of all protocol governance actions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5–10+ years in fintech governance, blockchain policy, or compliance roles
• Strong understanding of DeFi governance systems and smart contracts
• Experience with protocol audit, governance design, or financial controls
• Strong regulatory interpretation and analytical skills
