Position Summary
We are recruiting a Senior Vice President of Digital Payments Strategy & CBDC Integration to define the future of digital transaction infrastructures in Bahrain. This role is central to advancing real-time payments, blockchain-based settlement systems, and CBDC alignment in coordination with both regional and international financial networks.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and expansion of national digital payment rails that support instant transactions and real-time settlement.

Develop frameworks for CBDC integration within both domestic and cross-border financial ecosystems.

Spearhead partnerships with global payment processors, fintech startups, and banking institutions.

Establish AI-enabled fraud prevention systems, predictive analytics for liquidity management, and advanced compliance monitoring.

Ensure full alignment with Bahrain’s central banking directives, FATF standards, and global digital payments protocols.
Qualifications

12+ years’ experience in payments innovation, CBDC frameworks, or financial technology strategy.

Expertise in blockchain interoperability, distributed ledger technologies, and digital settlement ecosystems.

Strong knowledge of Bahrain’s regulatory landscape and global financial infrastructure.

Advanced degree in Economics, Computer Science, or Digital Finance.
