Role Overview

The Senior Strategist will define, govern, and scale Oman’s cross-sector open finance intelligence frameworks, unified digital identity infrastructures, and advanced API-driven ecosystems that power next-generation banking and financial innovation. This role sits at the intersection of regulatory modernization, multi-party data orchestration, AI-based financial intelligence, and enterprise-grade API monetization.

The strategist is responsible for designing a secure, interoperable, and intelligence-powered fabric enabling banks, fintechs, insurers, telcos, and digital marketplaces to operate under synchronized open finance standards.

Key Responsibilities

National-Scale Open Finance Architecture

• Design multi-tier API frameworks enabling account aggregation, payment initiation, digital onboarding, and intelligent financial service embedding.

• Develop data-sharing governance models ensuring data integrity, user-controlled consent, and risk-aware API interoperability.

• Integrate behavioral analytics, transaction intelligence, and dynamic financial profiling modules across partner institutions.

Digital Identity & Trust Infrastructure

• Architect identity verification networks using biometric trust signals, digital certificates, and verifiable credential frameworks.

• Create zero-knowledge verification patterns for high-assurance authentication without compromising user privacy.

• Develop a nationwide identity-resilience blueprint for multi-institution operations.

AI-Driven Decision Intelligence

• Implement real-time risk scoring engines leveraging machine learning and multidimensional financial behavior analysis.

• Develop predictive models for fraud reduction, financial inclusion insights, and creditworthiness intelligence across sectors.

Strategic Market Development

• Lead research into regional open finance adoption patterns and identify monetization paths for API marketplaces.

• Coordinate with regulators and ecosystem players to define sector-wide standardization roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Information Systems, Digital Finance, Data Science, or a related field.

• 10+ years in open banking, API architecture, digital identity frameworks, or financial intelligence engineering.

• Expertise in AI-based behavioral analytics and regulated financial data environments.
