Position Overview

The Senior Fintech Risk & Digital Payments Governance Architect will design and implement high-precision frameworks to enhance payment system governance, digital asset safety, and cross-border transaction resilience—supporting Bahrain’s global leadership in digital financial trust systems.
Primary Responsibilities

Payment Governance Design: Build policy-aligned digital payment governance frameworks ensuring operational transparency, auditability, and financial integrity across multiple jurisdictions.

Risk Intelligence Engineering: Lead AI-driven risk analytics initiatives that predict systemic vulnerabilities across payment ecosystems and digital transaction infrastructures.

Infrastructure Harmonization: Oversee the integration of payment gateways, settlement rails, and digital wallets into a unified compliance-oriented fintech ecosystem.

Regulatory Alignment: Liaise with financial regulators to refine real-time monitoring frameworks and data-sharing protocols under Bahrain’s progressive fintech sandbox regime.

Operational Analytics: Establish live dashboards for transaction visibility, regulatory reporting, and fraud anomaly detection.
Candidate Requirements

10+ years’ experience in digital payments governance, risk management, or fintech compliance architecture.

Advanced understanding of Bahrain’s fintech sandbox, open finance regulations, and digital payments ecosystem.

Strong expertise in risk analytics, AML/CFT automation, and AI-integrated financial monitoring solutions.
