Role Overview
Real-time payments are rapidly becoming the backbone of modern financial systems. This role is designed for a product leader who can conceptualize, build, and scale instant payment ecosystems that operate 24/7 with near-zero latency.
You will lead the development of RTP platforms that enable individuals, businesses, and institutions to move money instantly—while ensuring reliability, interoperability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for real-time payment systems
- Design instant payment rails, including clearing and settlement mechanisms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build high-availability, low-latency systems
- Integrate RTP solutions with banks, fintech platforms, and payment service providers
- Develop features such as request-to-pay (R2P), QR-based payments, and instant transfers
- Monitor KPIs including transaction speed, uptime, success rates, and adoption metrics
- Ensure compliance with payment regulations, data security standards, and interoperability frameworks
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Business, or Computer Science
- 8+ years in payments, fintech product management, or financial systems
- Strong understanding of payment processing, clearing, and settlement systems
- Experience working with API-based payment integrations
- Familiarity with Agile product development methodologies
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards
- Experience with cross-border payment systems
- Understanding of fraud prevention in real-time environments
- Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills
