Role Overview
A high-performance fintech ecosystem in Dubai is recruiting a technically elite Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Financial Modeling, Fraud Detection & Real-Time Decision Systems to design and deploy advanced ML models that power critical financial operations.
This is a production-focused ML engineering role, where models are not experimental—they are embedded directly into payment flows, fraud detection engines, and customer decision systems. You will build intelligent systems capable of detecting anomalies in milliseconds, optimizing transaction routing, and personalizing financial experiences at scale.
You will operate across the full ML lifecycle—from feature engineering and model training to deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization—within a highly regulated financial environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and deploy machine learning models for fraud detection, anomaly detection, and transaction risk scoring
- Develop predictive models for customer behavior, churn, and financial engagement
- Build real-time ML pipelines integrated with payment systems and APIs
- Engineer features from structured and unstructured financial datasets
- Optimize model performance for latency, accuracy, and scalability
- Deploy models using cloud-based ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform)
- Implement model monitoring, drift detection, and retraining pipelines
- Collaborate with data engineers, backend developers, and product teams
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and data governance standards
- Document models, assumptions, and performance metrics
- Stay updated on emerging ML techniques and fintech innovations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning or data science
- Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and SQL
- Experience with real-time data processing and ML deployment
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling and data analysis
- Experience in fintech or financial services preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with graph-based fraud detection models
- Knowledge of deep learning and advanced ML techniques
- Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
- Exposure to MLOps and CI/CD pipelines for ML
