Role Overview

A rapidly expanding financial technology institution in Dubai is seeking a highly strategic Senior Fintech Transaction Processing Plant Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end operational engine of its high-volume transaction processing environment.

This role is designed for a leader who understands that the true heartbeat of fintech lies not only in customer-facing platforms, but in the invisible operational “processing plant” where settlements, reconciliations, merchant payouts, payment routing, transaction validation, dispute management, and operational controls are executed with precision.

The successful candidate will lead the institution’s financial processing operations center responsible for millions of daily transaction flows across digital payments, merchant acquiring, POS ecosystems, remittance channels, virtual accounts, settlement networks, and institutional treasury operations.

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring operational excellence, deep financial systems understanding, and the ability to optimize mission-critical financial workflows within a highly regulated GCC fintech ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full operational management of the fintech transaction processing plant across payments, merchant settlements, wallet operations, and treasury transaction flows
  • Oversee daily execution of transaction validation, settlement cycles, payout processing, reconciliation workflows, and dispute resolution operations
  • Build scalable operational frameworks for high-volume financial transaction environments with strict accuracy and uptime requirements
  • Ensure timely processing of merchant settlements, customer fund transfers, chargebacks, refunds, and payment exceptions
  • Strengthen operational governance across payment routing, financial approvals, settlement cutoffs, and transaction integrity controls
  • Monitor processing KPIs including settlement speed, transaction success rates, exception management, reconciliation accuracy, and fraud alerts
  • Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations, AML frameworks, PCI DSS, and audit requirements
  • Manage operational resilience frameworks for business continuity, incident escalation, recovery planning, and processing plant continuity
  • Optimize vendor coordination with acquiring banks, payment processors, gateways, and treasury partners
  • Drive automation initiatives across settlement workflows, exception handling, operational reporting, and reconciliation intelligence
  • Lead workforce planning and performance management across transaction operations teams
  • Build executive dashboards and operational intelligence reporting for senior leadership visibility

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Operations Management, Accounting, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in payment operations, transaction processing, settlement management, or fintech operations leadership
  • Strong expertise in merchant acquiring, payment gateways, reconciliation systems, and treasury operations
  • Deep understanding of transaction lifecycle management across digital payments and financial services
  • Experience managing large-scale operational teams within regulated financial institutions
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, settlement risk management, and transaction governance
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, payment processing platforms, and operational workflow automation tools
  • Excellent leadership, reporting, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Strong exposure to GCC fintech operational environments preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Experience within digital banking or high-growth payment institutions
  • Exposure to real-time payments and instant settlement systems
  • Knowledge of dispute management systems and merchant operations
  • Familiarity with intelligent operational analytics and automation platforms
